I have read many discussions about siping in 4x4 forums. Improves traction and reduces wear from gravel. Seems like a good idea to me.

Thought about grooving my Turf's for better winter grab. Would rather sipe them but have not found yet anyone that can sipe tires as big as a tractor.

BTW for snow Sipe's most think of are tiny thin slice about thickness of face shave razor blade. These are actually Microsipes. This work better than "Grooving" a tire when it comes to snow. Grooving helps too with snow, combination of two probably best. If snow is not really your concern but are seeking something between a Turf and AG... then Grooving like shown in video is your best bet.

There's all kinds of siping tools you can buy. It can be done with a good utility knife as well. It's all about patience.

Whoops, I meant to say R-4's. Its my brother's tractor, I wouldn't be dumb enough to buy R-4's, in the first place...:D:D
