Regen at 154hrs, then another at 162 hrs. Am assuming I am letting it warm up too long in this cooler weather. My approach was waiting till the temp gauge moved good after idle at 1500rpms, then move to 2200rpms. Maybe just a good 5 minute warm up would suffice, or should I wait till temp gauge moves???? 20°F in the am. What ya'll think???

Still lov'n this 3901 ***55357;***56847;

I have an L 3301 and tonight we are dropping to -39 with wind, will be blowing snow in the morning..... cover your rad. with a piece of cardboard and it will help keep your temps up and your regen duration farther apart. Cover rad but don't cover hst cooler fully as you don't have hst oil temp gauge. Watch engine your temp gauge more often with a covered rad..... at our temps here I could cover rad, sides and top DPF vent and half transmission cooler and still not run as hot as I would like.

Covering the radiator is good practice in general for winter use. But I agree, only cover part of it and not the HST cooler and fuel cooler.

My L4060 takes forever to get heat in the cab, but I think the radiator cover trick would be useful.
