Bought a 1947 Seattle Telephone truck in 1972. $100 Now you know this was uses hard but still drove it with a used up clutch and logged with it too as it is how they are used and treated. As mentioned here, most folks don't even know how to drive like using gravity to save on brakes and wear and tear. Most in my family are this type, just push that gas and hit those brakes. In the old days it was common to be taught to act like there is an egg between your foot and the gas pedal, not any more!I wanted to hear Orange Man Hero's answer. He said, "experience". I always thought experience was something that was happening to you that you wish to God was happening to someone else!
So you get good at finding good used items by failing enough times to discern the difference between good and bad!
Sometimes rhetorical questions have value.
So much fuel could be saved with proper thinking driving that electric cars would not be needed.
