The recommended Hydraulic Fluid for Kubota Tractors is SUPER UDT2 Fluid and is recommended for both the HSD and HST models but it is $140 delivered for 2.5 Gallons (See Amazon Link) https://amzn.to/36eP3Cf

OR

I have found the very best pricing for both the filter and alternative hydraulic fluid for my B7510HSD and have listed them below for your convenience. I chose the mid-weight ISO 68 (Summer Applications) for the hydraulic fluid as I am in Florida and if you are in colder climates then Kubota recommends the following: https://www.kubotausa.com/service-support/maintenance-schedules/lubricant-maintenance-schedule

Hydraulic Oil-Excavator and Compact Track Loader Summer or High Ambient Temperature Applications*** ISO 68 Only $55 Delivered for 5 Gallons/18 Liters https://amzn.to/34aFx0L

Hydraulic Oil- Factory Fill - Excavator and Compact Track Loader Winter Applications*** ISO 46 ONLY $48 DELIVERED for 5 Gallons https://amzn.to/2JrNqan

Filter Maintenance Kit for HST (hydrostatic transmissions) and fits these Kubota Models: Kubota B26, B7500, B7510, B7610, B2410 D HST (HST=Hydrostatic Transmission) and if you have a HSD model you will NOT use one of the filters in this kit. ONLY $68 Delivered https://amzn.to/32S6Dd5

OR if you just want the hydraulic filter only then Baldwin BT8902 OnLY $19 Delivered Amazon: https://amzn.to/2qJMTKk

Don't forget to change your oil in the front axle assembly at the same time: Lucas Oil 80w-90 Gear Oil, 1 Gallon Only $32 Delivered https://amzn.to/2NlNCJg

Hope this helps everyone a great deal as it took me my whole morning to find the best prices and best quality on these items. Good Luck!

Whoa! Hold on there pardner. There's a lot more to the fluid used in these tractors than just the viscosity!!! You cannot use ordinary hydraulic fluid in a tractor transmission, and in your case, the fluid must be suitable for use in an HST transmission and compatible with wet brakes.

At the very minimum, make sure that any fluid you use is certified by the manufacturer to be a suitable replacement for Kubota UDT fluid.

Torch knows what he's talking about. With the HST tractors, there are some fluids that they are "compatible" with UDT or SUDT2, but few will say they can replace them.

For a geared tractor, it's much different. There are some very good alternatives.

We have a few guys here that work on these tractors every day. They will often say don't question compatibility...just use SUDT2.

Geared Kubota's (well most of them that I'm aware of, still have wet brakes and most have a wet pto clutch pack (and some have a wet shuttle clutch) as well so it had better be a fluid that is at least Kubota compatible.

Big thread on TBYNet about how people (on there with Kubota HST tractors are using cheapo Traveller hydraulic fluid and my comment on that thread was..,. It's your wallet, not mine.
