I went to get my tractor today and when I turned on the key ALL the dash lights began flashing very fast. I turned on the key several times and it did it each time. I DID NOT try to start the tractor for fear I would damage something. It is a L4330. Does anyone have a clue what the trouble could be. I used it a couple days ago and all was well. Thanks.

Bad battery connection possibly. Check/remove and clean all battery connections and reseat/tighten, clean with wire brush/scouring pad or similar. Also do te same with the ground wire where it attaches to the frame or engine, as well as the starter main power terminal. Could also be a bad connection on the back of the electronic instrument panel, or the panel itself. By removing the battery connections, this may also provide a "reset" to the panel if required.

I would suspect a weak battery. Check voltage and then if low put on charge.
Faster typist than me helomech! Top answer!
And why do I always assume everyone checks their battery FIRST THING when they have electrical problems! Then I find that hardly anybody does!

Thank you sir. 25 years working on helicopters and I always go for the easiest thing first. Also the battery is the only thing I can think of that would effect all circuits. Relays don't like love voltage.

I did consider the battery first as it is 10 years old and came in the tractor. But with the lights all bright and all flashing I began to think it is something else. Since it is 10 years old I guess I will replace it now as I don't want a problem this winter for sure. I will just call it preventive maintenance.... maybe sorely needed now.

When you get it sorted out come back and report what it was/how you fixed it, so others may learn from your experience.
