I agree, price is high. My back is toast though and where I mow has lots of roots and ruts and I'm at the age where I need to do EVERYTHING I can to baby my back, including spending 1K for a seat. Otherwise, I don't mow at all.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking your choice at all, we have to do what we have to do! ;)

Like Pirateghost said, when your back is hurting 1000 isn't the issue if you want to get out and work. That's why there is a market for those kind of seats. Many folks are in them 8-9 hrs a day, and need the support they offer.

Piarite- please post results with the mechanical one. My whole spine is shot and I would pay that much for a big improvement on trying to improve the ride on my b2601.would be nice to know if there's abig difference between the mechanic and air ride?

1000 doll-hairs and arm rests are an option? I laughed at the $238 dollar price tag on my new B7610 seat.

If your back is that shot, should you really be bumping around on a tractor? I have two crushed discs, and two of the most worn out hips you may ever see on a 36 year old, so Im not trying to be mean or bust chops too bad...

Set is on. I bought the mechanical version for $700. Worth every penny for me. Easy to put on. The steel plate they provide was a perfect match up for mounting. Came with seat belts and OPS installed. The ride is great.
