Air conditioner on L5030 cab

My air conditioner will not cool. After examining the compressor, the clutch is not engaging when the ac is turned on. Any suggestions?

Has to be a relay somewhere in the mix, when you flick the switch, a relay sends the current to the clutch to engage. See if you can place a multimeter in the circuit to see if the clutch is getting proper volts.

Yes it could be the relay or even a fuse, just pull the panel to access the wiring.
Just use a regular test light and check for power in and out of the relay, 160 in the diagram.
70 is the thermostat, and 80 is the resistor.
Look at the color of the wire that the compressor wire that the clutch plugs into and look for that same colored wire up in the controls.

Could also be a bit low on refrigerant. I've had cars that needed a certain amount of pressure in the system to complete the circuit to the electric clutch.

I agree. I'd recommend checking pressures before looking for something electrical. Granted pressures won't be correct operating pressures but both gauges should read somewhere between 125-150 psi depending on charge. This is assuming Kubota utilizes high & low pressure switches.

I looked into that, it doesn't appear that there is a pressure, High or low, switch on his system, because I was thinking the same thing. Low Freon pressure will stop most AC units.
