Boa tarde, tenho um Kubota L1501DT. Z751,A ÁGUA DO RADIADOR VAI PARA O BLOCO,NAO É PELA CABECA,NEM PELOS CILINDROS,PENSEI TAMBEM NO FILTRO DE OLEO MAS NAO O ENCONTRO.SERA QUE TEM,OU TEM NO INTERIOR DA TAMPA DO LADO DA TRANSMISSAO?
AINDA GOSTARIA DE SABER QUANTOS LITROS DE VALVOLINA LEVA A CAIXA DE TRANSMISSAO,E ONDE VEJO O NIVEL?

MUITO OBRIGADO. TIAGO PINTASSILGO

Water in oil (title)

First post translation:
Good afternoon, I have a Kubota L1501DT. Z751, THE RADIATOR WATER GOES TO THE BLOCK, IT'S NOT THROUGH THE HEAD, NOR THROUGH THE CYLINDERS, I ALSO THOUGHT ABOUT THE OIL FILTER BUT I CAN'T FIND IT. IS IT, OR IS IT INSIDE THE LID ON THE TRANSMISSION SIDE?

I WOULD STILL LIKE TO KNOW HOW MANY LITERS OF VALVOLINA THE TRANSMISSION BOX TAKES, AND WHERE DO I SEE THE LEVEL?

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

D, oil radiator and not filter

Answer (in English)
The engine oil capacity is 4.0 quarts (3.8 Liters)

The transmission capacity is 28.5 Quarts (27 Liters).

There is (probably) a plug on the left side of the transmission (sitting in the seat). It is near where your feet go when you start to push down the clutch pedal. It is a hex head bolt with a copper sealing washer underneath the flanged head. When oil runs out of the hole, transmission is full

The engine oil filter is on the right side near the front of the engine. It is a spin on filter.

The transmission filter is on the left side, side of the transmission case, near the bottom. It is a domed cover with two bolts. There is a spring underneath the cover pushing the screen into place. The screen filter will come out the side after the cover is removed. You may have to use needle nose pliers to pull it out.

Please clarify if the water is in the engine oil or the transmission oil.

Best case - a blown head gasket.
A compression test or a block test (using a CO2 leak detector for combustion gases in the coolant reservoir) can help confirm.

Worst case - a cracked engine block or cylinder head.

Obrigado

No oil cooler on it. The blocks on these tractor very rarely crack.

Não tem radiador de óleo. Os blocos desses tratores raramente racham.

This is the most likely cause of water in oil.
That sealing cap coming out will dump water via gear case right into the oil pan.

Okay. Thank you very much, it's not from the head, it will then be the block clashed, from what I see. Does this model have an oil radiator?

Thank you

Answer:
These older tractors had no heat exchangers other than the radiator. There was no type of external oil cooler unless it had been added.

I believe that the cooling system is a thermo siphon system with no water pump and no thermostat (water circulation is by hot water rising in the engine, dumping into the radiator and sinking to bottom of radiator as it is cooled forcing a circulation pattern).

The tend to crack heads and not the block so I would be surprised if it is the block.

How do you know that “it‘s not from the head”?

There are also galley plugs that are installed in openings in the block (also called freeze plugs) used to clean out sand from the casting. One of those could be rusted through or came loose and is leaking water into the oil. There is at least one in the front of the block but inside the front gear case. You may be able to drain the engine oil, fill the radiator and use a radiator pressure test pump to pressurize the radiator and see if water is flowing out of the oil pan drain. You may be able to hear it leaking with a mechanic’s stethoscope.

Sorry to duplicate the answer above.
