Bought a 4060hstc last year.
Used the 72" rear blade that I had from the prior tractor. When angled not wide enough.
4060 tires measures 70" wide.
Looking at a Land Pride 2684 or 2694.
Using it to push snow and most of the time the blade is angled.
Dealer is suggesting a 7' blade. Took a 7' 2x4 and when angled only clears tires by 3" or so.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

My recommendation would be to step up to a Land Pride RB3784 with skid shoes and hydraulic angle, although the hydraulic is an option and not required.

The 26 series blades are simply not heavy enough to really be able to work very well and the 12" of sliding offset is a joke IMO.:( While it may work fine for snow removal, not so good with dirt and the 37 series will work well for both. As far as 84" or 96", I would go with the RB3784 myself. Unless you have your rear tires filled, probably should forget about any 96" unit.

My recommendations are based on what I have experienced with my tractors, others will vary. ;)

One last thing, I think that you will find that you do not need to have the blade over at a 45* angle, more like 35* seems to work pretty good most of the time.

Thanks for the advise.
Prior rear blade was a RB1672. Tried to off set it and the off set side just dug in.
The 3684 is considerably heavier built. Getting a price on it.

I have bought several - and sold a few, I am still kicking my self in the butt on the nicest one that I HAD AND SOLD ....and now I have one that is the same width, but is no where the same - the one I own now was designed by a company that must have been drunk when it engineered it ! ( picked it up cheaply on CL) SO - spend the extra $$$ and get the one that is "heavier" because you will thank yourself later for it !;):)
