So, I am looking for a smallish gas powered pack back sprayer for insecticides. And I need it to spray verticle up to my 2nd story eves for wasp control. As well as fog.

5 gallon I think is too big for my old back to haul around.

I'm considering the Stihl SR200, at 2 gallons cap.... but I think that it is more of a fogger.

And also considering the Tomahawk 3 gal unit. Which as I understand will fog and also shoot a stream with the right nozzle gun.

Or any brand and model you'd recommend.

I don't think any battery powered units will have the power needed.

Any advice would be helpful.

Thank you.

I believe the one you specify is a fogger and not anything like a sprayer.

There are backpack sprayers similar to pump up sprayers that are used by exterminators. They are battery or manually powered and spray a stream. I doubt they are able to reach a second story eave on a house.

Yeah, I looked online again this morning.
It looks l like the 5 gal Tomahawk will do what I need. I'll just only put 2 or 3 gallons in it to keep the weight down.

I just don't know Tomahawk. I have Stihl and Echo, etc. Tomahawk gets good reviews tho.

Can of wasp spray can shoot like 27 feet, and it's designed for quick killing of wasps... the two units you listed will work to Fog an area... like for mosquitos.
Thanks. Tried them. They work great but shoot too short on a couple places on the house.

N.Y,
I am fighting 3 yellow jacket nests that are in our house. They sneak in the gaps in the vinyl soffit materials. I went through a case of wasp and hornet spray cans trying to get them as they come and go. The cans shoot about 20 feet but any wind and it goes to 10 ft effective range. They are ornery and will chase me so I bought a Milwaukee m12 sprayer that has allowed me to constantly soak the entry points eliminating most of them the last 3 days. Along with a strong spray that can knock them down. The back of our house is 2 stories with the walk out basement and it just barely makes it. The m12 sprayer is perfect for a single story house I found. Not sure I would want the exhaust fumes of a gas sprayer. Have you looked into more powerful battery powered ones?

Thank you!

I have 2 Ryobi 18v spayers. 1 is broken and the other is on its way out. They spray maybe 10 ft horizontal on a windless day.

I have many Milwaukee M18 and M12 tools, and I would love, love, love to get a Milwaukee sprayer. But the reviews I have read aren't that good on ANY brand of battery powered sprayers. Just not enough power and pressure for what I am looking to do.

But every year these companies are coming out with new and better sprayers.

I don't mind gas because I have a few 2 stroke string trimmers , a blower and chain saws.

N.Y,
Mine is only rated for 17 ft at 80 psi but the M18 backpack one is rated for 24 ft at 140 psi. I love mine and never had a problem. I had to go all battery for OPE because my wife has Chemical Sensitivity Syndrome and any exhaust fumes near the house or on my clothes made her very sick. I bought 2 tanks for it. One for brush and weed killers, and one for garden / insect spray. The easily switchable tank was why I went Milwaukee. We have to keep the house sealed and AC on for days after I spray so she's not exposed to outgasing of even the mildest chemicals.
I have never seen so many wasps and Yellow Jackets as we have this year. I think more queens survived with the mild winter. Good luck finding a sprayer that suits you.

Sorry to hear about your wife's condition. That takes a lot of planning for you both, I am sure.

I looked online at the M12 sprayer you have and it looks like a good one.

I just need to find a Binford.
