Any of you guys use a landscape rake? I am curious how strong they are. I am clearing a lot of underbrush that is mixed with vines, wire-briars, and old logs. I am curious if one these rakes can handle this kind of stuff or if they are just primarily used in smooth, clean areas like what I keep seeing in all of the videos. I am afraid the tines are going to get bent too easily. Any suggestions and advice will be greatly appreciated!

They really arent meant for heavy use in thick brush or rakeing logs either. The teeth wont really break but more or less get sprung. Kinda like if you used a leafe rake to do the same thing with. Your best bet would to use a grading box with the teeth or maybe a pulverizer and get the crap out that you need too.

some brands may be better than others, but most I have seen are built about the same, mine is a "Dirt dog Brand" Rake 6' , built well, better than the King Kutter at TSC, but average among the better brands. I use mine for vines, tree roots (small to medium size) small logs, branches (under 8" in dia) and large and meadium rocks, works well, although brush tends to get stuck in the tines and I have push it down out of the tines, but overall It is a good small investment (most are less than $600 new).

Well I never had any luck with my rake. I had a 6ft York rake and trying to move heavy material the rake would just pop over top of the debris and didnt quite work that well.
