Just purchased a 2002 BX2200, very excited. Never had an Orange machine, don't know a lot about them. This came with a loader, deck and cab. I had told the Deere dealer that had it that I wanted to add a front snowblower, he told me he contacted the old owner and said it could be done. While admiring it when I got it home, I figured out that the control valve for the loader is attached to the loader frame post. I think there is a newer version with a rubber boot at the bottom, which this doesn't have.

Did I make a mistake? Can a front snowblower be added at a reasonable cost?Does the loader valve control the snowblower?

Thanks for looking

I don't see why not. I have a '04 BX2230 with the same set up with a BX2750 snow blower. I've seen what your talking about w/rubber boot but that just seems like a design change. You'll also need the quick hitch and mid PTO kit for the blower. Your best bet is to check w/Kubota dealer for correct information.

I bought a rear blower with my L3010, but because of the hydrostatic, you have ot keep your right foot in one position and sort of swivel around. I got *real* bad back spasms, so I upgraded to a front blower, which is much better, but it cost a fortune.

The mid PTO should make it a lot easier to add a front blower. My BX2200 the control stays with the tractor, so controls would not be an issue.
