Hello, first post:

Going to add a camera system to a M6800. It has a front and back camera. Looking at the manual cables run up the post of the cab on the fuel tank side. Will mount monitor on the dash and run the cables down the column, up the cab post, remove head liner and dril holes in the fiberglass in the front and back to mount cameras. Will use gourmets (maybe RTV also) to keep the water out.

My question is any words of wisdom from someone that has already done this?
Thank You

I use a wireless setup with solar powered cameras. The issue with this is you can't run the camera(s) continuously. No big deal as I use them for snagging implements.

Thanks for the reply, my system is wired. Going to mount higher to get a viewing angle to see forks and 3 point hitch attachments. Started looking at how to wire and it appears that there is spare fuse holders. I have not hooked up volt meter to see if they work. How did you hook in the system?

What system brand did you use? You could probably add additional battery storage capacity to the camera if you wanted to.

Brand is Rohenk from Amazon, checked spare fuse holder in fuse box, not connected. Going to unmount fuse box and see if I can connect in back. If not have an adapter to split a fuse connection. Thank You

Look at this to tap into the power

Thanks, that’s my back up plan. I already have one. I wanted to do wire into the fuse box if I can figure out how to do it.

Get a bigger display (over 8") and a system with all the cameras you want up front - assume you won't be able to add cameras later. Get the brightest display you can.
