I have a new to me G6200. Looking for advice on adding 3 pt hitch and rear hydraulics using commonly available aftermarket parts. I can weld and fabricate if necessary. Just wondering if anyone here has done it. Any pics or info greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Tim

When i got my G5200 about 12 yrs ago, I looked into this. After researching, I abandoned the idea for several reasons. Chief among them was the fact this platform does not have a 2 speed rear end. Any kind of serious blade work would be limiting. Strictly my opinion.

I do have the front blade. It moves snow superbly and does ok for loose dirt.

Now, adding hydraulic lift for the deck has merit, and not to difficult. This mod I'm still contemplating. I'll bet yours has this already.

Still, I would be interested in seeing such a mod your asking about. Fabricating a sub frame 3pt to bolt to the rear end would be easy if you got the skills.

Yes, mine has the hydraulic deck lift. Nice feature to have. I believe it would be easy to add to your 5200.
Kubota had a 3 point option with rear hydraulics for the g series, but I think it's rare to find a machine so equipped. I was thinking of using an existing cat 0 3 pt. and addapting it to bolt to the rear end. What I'm unclear with is plumbing the hydraulic lines for manipulating it.

Might look at the JD series of garden tractors of that era. Think they had an add-on 3pt. Could be a good starting point for ideas.
