Hello,

I have a 2001 Kubota L4300 with a LB552 loader. Would I run the existing power beyond hose from the Husco loader controller to the inlet of my new control valve? ...and run the outlet into the inlet port on the hydraulic block under the floor board (where the existing power beyond tapped into)? What's the type of fitting or thread type? Thank you!

It sounds like you're wanting to do what I did on my L3000. The line to the rear of the loader control was removed and put to the input of the new valve. The output from the valve went back to the loader control. Then came out of the top of the valve to the rear of the tractor for rear remotes. Mine has worked perfectly.

Not sure on the size but it was standard fittings that any hyd shop should have.

The new valve should have power beyond also. Typically after the loader the hydraulics power the rear remotes (if included) then the 3-pt, but some models are setup differently. If the line is on the PB port of the loader valve it's probably there for a reason. Basically your new valve should just be inline with the PB line.

To figure out what fittings you have look at this:http://www.discounthydraulichose.com/v/vspfiles/downloadables/thread_guide.pdf
You can also get your fittings and custom made hoses from there, probably for less than a local shop would charge, and they are pretty fast.

Thank you for the replies!

I think I have the hose routing down.
1. My existing PB from the FEL control valve will plumb into my new valve inlet.
2. The outlet (tank port) hose from my new valve will have to tee into my existing hydraulic block under the floorboard with the return hose (outlet, tank...) from the FEL control valve.
3. The PB hose from my new control valve will connect to the inlet port on my existing hydraulic block where the existing PB hose used to connect to.

Correct?

I've removed the inlet port adapter (PB hose) at the hydraulic block, but I'm having difficulty identifying it. I want to say it's a 3/8" BSPT with a JIC 37. Yes, I measured it with a caliper, but the measurements are not a definitive match. Can anyone confirm that the hydraulic block takes BSPT instead of NPTF? My main deal is that the tank port has a solid hose in it. I'd have to remove it from the FEL control valve in order to remove it from the block. I'd hate to have my tractor down because of hydraulics until I can gather all my fittings and hoses.

Just to follow up for someone's information in the future. The fittings on my particular hydraulic block were 3/8" NPTF to 1/2" JIC 37d. All the JIC fittings throughout my FEL controller were 1/2". Even though the hoses may be 3/8" stay away from using 3/8" fittings in the PB circuit because the restriction could slow down the 3PH motion. Thanks to all the SMEs that share their knowledge and experience on forums like this one!
