I came across a post on a FB mini ex group that had a dozen or so people with the same problem. They all broke the actuator arm right at the first rivet. One person said to make sure the motor was turning clockwise so it was pushing down on the push stroke. Another person claimed to fix the issue by welding a support at the rear of the arm after welding the break. Both suggestions look like a viable fix for the issue.
I had to order bearings for the arm. The inner bearing at the motor end had the inner race and balls missing. I am thinking this unit had had that part scavenged off it since the inner race was missing. No other way for that to disappear. I will update after I get it back together.
In other news, I ordered a mini ex auger with a 8" bit. I have absolutely NO NEED for this but it was too cheap not to try. LOL I'm thinking I have a cheap Chinese implement affliction they make no vaccine for.
