Acceptable wear limits on BH76 Pivots?

I have a BH76 that has less than 150 hours on it. While using it today, I noticed the dipper was moving back and forth nearly 1/8 - 1/4". There are what appears to be large shims between the boom and dipper pivot point. When I got home, I checked the boom and there is a little play there too, maybe 1/8"? What is acceptable? I'm a first time BH owner and have never been around heavy equipment.
I'm using Shaffer Extreme Pressure grease on the BH and loader.

Does anyone happen to have a BH76/77 service manual they could share?

I have about the same hours on mine...nothing like that play. Mine are greased everyday before I use it...nice and tight. I probably over grease mine...but I figure it is cheap easy insurance...

Maybe ask the dealer you got thehoe from...sounds like you got a problem...

Probably manufacturing error. Kubota is likely to tell the dealer to shim it up, but you never know unless you take it to a dealer and ask them directly. As long as nothing's bent or damaged from use and less than a year old, Kubota should pick up the tab. I've assembled a few of those before I quit the dealer life, and usually the dipper is a really tight fit between it and the boom. Usually had to force the shims in pretty tightly.

Considering you say the tractor is a 2011, I'll go out on a limb and say so is the BH, if that's the case your long out of any warranty or any claim on a manufacturing error or defect.
So move on get some new shims and shim it up.

Correct. Is it ok to double up on the shims?

Yes or get thicker ones.

Do keep an eye on it if the gaps get bigger, your either pushing it too hard or it does have a metal defect and needs to be addressed.
