Per the manual, I'm planning to change engine oil & filter, HST oil & filter, and clean the strainer. Yes, will use all KB parts/fluids.

For those who have been through it already, any tips or tricks that would be helpful?

It's been flawless so far, with 48 hours. Best "tool" I ever bought! :D

Just curious..... what specific hydraulic fluid you placing in the tractor?

And as mentioned, you need not take the brush guard off nor hood off to take the engine oil filter off.;)

I hope you find the hydraulic screen fairly clean too:)

Grease everything while at it too - dont forget the HST floor zerk;)

I don't have a BX TripleR, but clicked on the link to check it out.
Great info there. I'm sure that will help dalola.

For what it’s worth, I changed my front axle also.
They often seem less than full upon delivery. Mine was also on the lot for a while.
Just a thought for an extra gallon of fluid.

Mine is the new 80 series, but some stuff is probably similar.

Super UDT2

Probably a good idea, plus I use 4x4 a lot.

Thanks all for the suggestions!

Pretty much the same procedure on my 2200 and 2660, gets you close. You Tube has some Kubota pretty sure Paul Short has a couple including his BX25. Messicks use to have instructions, but not video. We do service on our BX, L5740 and M8540, all pretty simple once you get past the initial intimidation.

Be prepared to fight with the engine oil filter. I struggled getting that off but eventually it broke free. My original filter was the same color as the engine so I think they paint them after the filter is installed.

It's next to the HST pedal, my floor mat has a U-shaped cut-out (maybe 1"+ or so) you lift to get at it.

Mine was hard to spot and use the first time. It had a nice coat of dark grey paint sealing it and making it blend in. If you don't see it, grab a light. It will need a shot of grease from time to time.

Good call on the treadle grease. They hide it pretty good!

Here's a pic to help others:

Just completed the 1yr (50hr) service on my BX2370 and found the same with my engine oil filter. Eventually got it off but it was a pain. Filters should never be that tight.

The strainer also had a few bits of silicone and some small metal filings on it.

Overall it was a very simple service to complete.
