This is I-70 West of Salina. I just came inside. It's 44 deg and 44 MPH wind and I'm on the far east side of the state.

Wind here Friday and Friday night. 50-60 mph.
Lots of power outages.
Several family members in other parts of the state lost power.
Luckily I didn't here. Had the generator filled and ready.
Not needed.

We had a good amount of wind here in SE Pa but, it worked to my benefit.....took down three dead ash tress that I was going to cut down....saved me the trouble. Sometimes mother nature just helps out.

We had at least 10 trees blow down this last week, it was a rocking and a rolling!

It's really not that big of a deal, we only have several thousand.

My general rule of thumb is that if the absolute value of the wind speed is greater than the absolute value of the ambient temperature, is best to stay inside regardless of the temperature.
