A Better Seat for a new L series

Guess my 60 buck high back Cordura seat with Lumbar and armrests from Rural King was a winner. I had to replace the suspension on the OS9 as well so I bought that to (from Rural King). It was 155 bucks delivered.

FYI grand L seat replacement is 1,150.00! Seat only for 3240. Mine completely rusted out , had to buy off brand

My L4240 seat bottom rusted out. I purchased the tractor used, so that's part of the deal, you don't know what you can't see.

The seats are made to look nice, but they have a plastic pan on the bottom with no drain. When water gets on the seat it will eventually cause rust.

I took the seat bottom off thinking I could rebuild what was broken, but it wasn't broken....just rusted out.

If anyone needs the back to one of the L seats, I have one I will give you.

I ordered this one off Amazon and it arrived Thursday. I used 2 13" pieces of 1 1/2 box across the tractor and 2 12" pieces of 1 1/2 " flat for the seat. Looks and sets great. Il'l finish the install tomorrow and see how it rides. The seat quality is very good.
Well. I finished the install and all looked good until I raised the 3 point and felt the seat move.:-(
A trip to ACE hardware for 4 1" spacers and longer frame bolts cured the issue. I've put about 8 hours on the seat and it is a great improvement.
