Trying to start this S2200 is almost impossible. Cranks like crazy with grey smoke but doesn't get to the point of running most times. Sometimes it will start running but very slow (less than 300 rpm) and after 20 seconds or so will just slow down and stop. If I move the throttle a little it dies quicker. On 2 attempts, it actually built rpms and ran normally. Was even successful on a restart after a 40 minute rest. Now I can't get it to start at all. Need help arriving at a solution if anyone has ideas.

When did this problem begin? Has the tractor been sitting for a long period of time? Does it have new fuel filter? Have you checked that it has good fuel flow from the tank?

It was sitting outside for about 2 yrs. It did start after a few tries when I loaded it up after buying it, when unloading it and when it went into the shop. Since then, have put new fuel in it, replaced the fuel filter and lift pump, purged the lines, put Cetane additive in the fuel and Heet, and checked the flow from the tank which was ok. Have not done a fuel pressure test or cylinder compression test or "spill test" yet.

Like I stated, when it has been running, it runs great.
