NHSleddog, that turned out great! Wish I could find a pipe like that laying around. Your lawn roller would be perfect to help out with all the earthworms in my yard. The lawn gets pretty bumpy by the end of the season!!!

But will your roller push down all those New Hampshire rocks you were talking about??:D

Nice work! From looking at the pictures I do not see a gusset or strut from your bearings leg up to the forward main frame. I would encourage you to add them to strengthen up that area. If you did that already I apologize.

I mowed last night, and could use something like that for my lawn...holy smokes a few spots are rough.....

There is a 6" 45deg gusset (2" angle) on the back on each side.

This is the weakest point in the design for sure but being 1/4" steel and full welds all around, it should be gtg.
Bingo! I could not see those in the pictures. Congratulations on a very nice build and enjoy the feeling of using something you made from scratch!

nice but don't take sharp turns ! My 4' solid drum WILL dig into the tight corner....sigh, if I used it more I'd cut into 2 sections. lkie I 'need' another project.....
