Just wondering.... had my L4400 serviced and the dealer is billing me 692.00 for the service.... 425.00 of that is labor. This seems kinda steep to me. What do you guys think?

That is why so many of us do our own work. It appears you were billed flat rate rather than actual hours worked.
For a 50 hr service $267 for parts sounds to cheap.
Your tractor came with either SUDT or SUDT2 fluid in the hyd system. Did they cut corners and put some kind of cheap fluid in it's place? If I had just paid $692 for service I would insist on genuine Kubota filters and fluid. You paid premium prices so you should expect premium parts and service.
I understand prices will vary, these came from coleman equ:
oil filter $10.49
hyd filter $42.87
fuel filter $ 3.63
air inner $14.17
air outer $19.14
8 qts eng oil $39.32
42.4 qts sudt $252.12
total $381.74
A 50 hr service should have included all this so if it was done properly you got a deal on parts. If they didn't do all this I would want to know why and what exactly did I pay for!!!

I know my local dealer offers a Sping and Fall maintenace package on all kinds of Kubots with various rates. Its a pretty decent deal they offer and I think pickup and delivery is included.
My dealer chargers $359.95
Maybe yours tacked on some money for hauling.

Having been a mechanic all my life and in the service ind. I do as much of the work on my equip. and cars that i can. and now as a service manager i would say allways ask for a quote on any service work that way you are not surprised when you get the invoice. Dune
I would avoid any future dealings with that dealer if it all possible. When you rip off your customers, you won't be in business long.
