One thing that always bugged me owning the two Kubota’s I’ve had was the 4X4 leaver. I had to try and remember if 4X4 was down or up. sometimes I’d leave it in and sometimes I’d leave it out.

Why didn’t Kubota put an indicator showing with the system was in 4X4? well I decided to do it myself. I bid and won an indicator off an old dodge truck on eBay. I picked up a switch and mounted it to the 4X4 leaver and did the wiring. The switch can be wired normally open or closed so I went open for this application.

I didn’t like the old indicator housing so I took a LED marker light and adapted the indicator to it. Used two way tape on the back and stuck it to the windshield. Now I’m happy Here’s a few photo’s.

Here I'm getting ready to paint the outer areas black

Very good creativity and work.
I agree, this is something that just should have been there.

Thanks! :)

Paul you never cease to amaze me with your thinking and craft skills!
The way I think is caused by the fumes in the shop. As for the skills well I've been on this earth long enough to have trained a monkey to do what I do :D
As always I do appreciate your kind words my friend :)

Thank you. It's time for these manufactures to start adding things like this to their machines. To have to look down at a 4x4 leaver in complete darkness is just not right.

Paul if you could get all your bells and whistles to play at one time it would sound like a orchestra. :D

Ha! Cool. I like that! Thanks my friend :)
Nice job! Looks clean and professional!
Thanks. This was a mod made out of bits and pieces but I'm glad you enjoyed seeing it. Thanks for commenting. :)

Nice job...
Added on my todo list.
Thanks. Glad you like it. I think it was a worth while mod to do :)
