Was driveing by a large Kubota dealer and just decided to stop in and look. (Bad idea, starts the"boy , I'd like to have that!). What's this??? A4wd lawn mower, not a tractor, but a 54 inch mower.!!! A 3 cyl diesel and shaftdrive to the deck and frnt diff. It even had small tires with tractor tread on them. I wonder if I've got any more hidden jars out back???

I tried my best to get my mom to buy her one of those mowers. She bought a green one instead. Said the Kubota was to high. Since then she has spent more fixing the JD than what the price difference was between them. I still give her a hard time for not buying Orange.

Thats a bit damn much on the price tag. I'm sure you could get a B series tractor and MMM for the same thing!

IPZ, what dealer did you price that at? I don't remember the model but I tried to get my mom to buy her a mower like that a few yrs back. She said it was to high and bought a piece of a mower (green and yellow) at Home Depot. The one I priced for her was a diesel Kubota and looks to be about the same size as the one you listed. Tag priced this one to me for $4800. It may not be the same as what you looked at but it sure has a big price difference.

The end of the story on the green mower is like this. It was cheaper in the beginning. It was about $3000. Since then it has had about $1500 in repairs. It was down so much she ended up buying a snapper just so she could mow the yard. Gave $1450 for the Snapper. Now not only does she have 2 mowers to keep up but in the end cost her $1150 more than the Kubota. Far be it from me to rub her nose in it, who am I kidding. I told her that deere would have a heart attach with all the other Kubotas around.

Parents these days. You just can't teach them anything. Guess they will just have to learn the hard way.
Hmm... sounds familiar, but backwards...:D

Bulldog, I called every dealer within 100 miles. Your friends at tag equipment gave me the lowest price. One was $9200. This can't be the same mower you priced. This is a GR2120, 3 cyl diesel, 54 inch hydralic lift deck, glide steer turning, power steering, shaft dr front diff and shaft drive deck.
I sold one of my other mowers last night, anyone want to by a set of mustang cobra r wheels??????

It had to be a different model but the one they priced was a 3 cyl diesel, don,t remember if it had power steer, shaft drive deck and I don't remember if it had hyd lift or not. I,m thinking it was a 60" cut but the main thing it had a diesel that would last forever.
The guys at Tag are hard to beat. They have always done me right.
