4wd engaged wheels wont turn.

I have and old ford7700 i want to ask if anyone know whats wrong with my tractor. The tractor wont run when i engage 4 wheel drive. It seems like the front wheel is stuck.

Why not disengage all drive (neutral, 4WD off) and jack up each corner and see if the wheels are free and take it from there.

I have had 3 Fords....
All have been great.
Still have two (+ Kubota) now.

Just looking at the parts breakdown, it looks like you could remove the drive shaft (spindle) without too much trouble. Then, if it still pulls in 2WD but not 4WD the problem must be in the transfer case area. (My Ford is only plain-Jane)

Add: that's not going to tell. If you pull the driveshaft, will the tractor coast in 2WD and 4WD? Did this start suddenly, or had it been making warning noises?
