4WD and HST necessary for mowing?

I agree 100% I purchased a M4900 gear drive in 2004 and withing 6 months I had regrets about not going with 4wd HST and loader. Made the same mistake with a truck bought a 2500 and should have got a 3500. Buy the HST with the 4WD and loader you will enjoy it much more and will find lots of ways to make your life easier.

4WD, HST and loader are must haves. And these are just sunk costs, you get the money back on a resale. All make it much easier to resell.

I was new to the whole mini farm life and I use my FEL for more things than I ever imagined. Now, I can't imagine not having one.

I figured with 0% financing, I could buy the tractor I wanted and the difference in cost per month was like $30 for a bare bones vs. what I wanted. No brainer. Figure out what the difference is per month and see what you can afford. It costs more in the long run to not buy what you need and trade in in repurchase for what you do need.
