My son was disking yesterday and the transmission became stuck between gears. The tractor will still move forward, but the shifting lever will not move.

Any help or suggestions to fix this issue is appreciated.

On your model you can pull the shifter off the top and be able to get right to the shift forks and check for damage or misalignment of parts.

Actually the lever used to shift high, low & reverse is stuck in neutral, not the main gear shifting lever. I am not sure which lever you were referring to in your response.

On my L3200 there is an indicator plate attached to the fender that guides the shifter along the correct paths. It would take some work and bad luck, but I can envision somehow having the shifter getting on the wrong side of the levers it is supposed to be moving, and leaving you jammed in gear. I'd have a look at everything it touches outside of the transmission case. Mine moves one lever for low speeds, and another for high. If it somehow slipped off a detent it could leave a lever in gear, and not be able to pull it back out. Lift off the indicator guide, and see what it is doing underneath it.

That is a whole different matter, and in a lot of ways better.
It's probably a misaligned or bent linkage.
Here is what your looking at:

I think wolfmans right on the bent linkage. My brother used to have an old Plymouth with a three speed on the column. Car would end up getting stuck in gear. Linkage would end up binding. A few extra washers to keep the linkage from twisting side ways and pnching solved the issue

Thanks for the help everyone. I pulled off the shift indicator panel and was able to see that the shifter moved out of the notch that was causing it to bind with the other linkages. With the help of a crow bar i was able to move the lever back into position and everything is working properly once again.

Gotta love the crow bar and the BFH when needed!!!!!!!!!
