Ok i know this has prob been on here a thousand times but i can find it. I have a l3200 with a new woods rake I bought today. it will only lift the rake about 8-10 inches off the ground. What settings/holes do you guys use for the top link and lift arms? I was on the top hole for the top link, now I am on the lowest one. it was set on the hole on the end of the lift arms that pin to the lower links... now I am on the highest hole, so in theory should lift more which it does, but not much. seems like it should lift my rake a couple feet. Its low enough so you better pay attention..... any input is appreciated. thanks alot-

really? maybe I am thinking backwards... I can adjust the rake so it is pretty much level, and it works well. But if i get a shorter top link wont i just end up adjusting it to basically where it is and have the same problem? or no... I do have a new top and tilt kit in the mail. Maybe that will solve the problem.

Pics would probably help.

And I assume I should be able to spin the rake 360... not even close..... Hits the 3pt arms... i am missing something here....

Remove your top link.
Lower the lift arms until about level or with a slight downward pitch.

I suspect that if you were to try to reattach your top link it would be about 4-6" too long.

Think of the pins in the lower lift arms as a wrist....it pivots there. Change the angle of the pivot and then when you raise the arm you will have a greater amount of lift at the rake tines.

Just to illustrate- Sometimes you got to fit the attachment to the tractor.

I had the turret inverted to accommodate for the lack of lift of the Cub. I cannot swing the rake 360 degrees.
Works great on the Kubota now, I just don't have any pics yet.

How big of a rake did you get? Is it too long that it wont allow you to spin it?

And like Ismurphy said sometimes you have to put the top link on last and have the attatchment fit the tractor. Works like a charm every time.

I have a 6' rake that works fine on my 3000. I can spin it around without hitting the arms. I agree with the other guys, sounds like the top link it adjusted to long.
