I was wondering what everyone has been doing at the 50 hour mark. This is my first tractor and i love it so far! The book only recommends oil and filter but the webiste says a few other things. Thanks!

I change all fluids and filters @50 hr. The newer tractors just say to change the filters but mine said change it all. After seeing the metal flakes in the oil I was glad I did. I know it cost but if it was mine everything but the air filter and anti-freeze would be changed.

If it's an "early" L3901, yes absolutely change the fluid in the transmission, as well as the suction filter. Kubota had an issue with contamination and a very few HST filters that would die (yours is a DT, so you won't have that filter). But I've also seen a couple 3301/3901 suction filters leak too, for whatever reason. Can't remember the serial number range, seems like it was in the 53xxx range where the cut off was. Before that, yes replace the fluid at 50 hrs. After, just filter.

It may be wise to call your dealer armed with your serial number and ask them about it; there was a bulletin for it.

When you say "suction filter", are you talking about the hydraulic filter? This is what the "Operator's Manual" calls the filter on the right side of the tractor.
