3901 intermitent shut down and no start

Hello:

On occasion when the seat cut off switch is tripped the dies as it should.

The issue is it will not crank right after this happens. If it sits for several hours it will crank and run.

Any suggestions to this matter is very much appreciated indeed.

Check the adjustment of your hydro pedal safety switch

What whitetiger posted would be the first thing to look at. Seat switch adjustment would be number two.

Check that the hydro pedal moves freely - no binding. Lift your seat and check the rod on which it pivots. Sometimes they slip out of place - there's supposed to be a cotter key through it on one end to prevent this.
