Hello to all,
My 3830's PTO suddenly stop working yesterday. I was mowing the yard and it just lost all power. It will spin very slowly even at full throttle, but it will not handle any load. I checked fluid and it was fine as well as the linkage. Am I right to suspect the hyd.pump is bad/bypassing? It's an 06' with 250hrs. Thanks for any input you may have.

Does your steering, GST or shuttle clutch work? If so, I dont think it is a pump problem, could be a damaged clutch pack.

Everything else works as it should, the pto just has no power. The indicator shows it engaged and the pto's rpm's run up on the instrument panel as the throttle is increased. Thanks.

You'll need to do a pressure test to find if it's a pressure problem or a failed clutch pack. Likely a clutch pack as Kubotatech wrote if everything else is ok. The intellapanel doesn't "know" if the pto is actually working. it just knows you've engaged the lever and the engine is running.
