I have a L 3540 HST with 420 hrs. After running pto for couple hrs , when I disengage pto and go back to idle my clutch is quite a bit louder than when cool, it will quiten down when I press the clutch in but kinda rattles a lil when released , next day when all is cooled off it is silent when pressed or not. Any issues or typical?

I would consider the clatter normal. Keep an eye on it though. Next time you change the hydraulic filter, cut the old one open and look for metal shavings inside. If it's severe, it may be looking at a potentially expensive repair.

So you think it could be a hydraulic issue ? I was thinking clutch pressure plate issue. But doesn't do it when all is cool. It's not very loud but is noticeable ( I have a cab or may not have even noticed it).
