Does anyone know of a quick hitch for the 3-point (cat 1), that has a hydraulic cylinder to do the latching? I have a traditional mechanical latching quick hitch. It was nice enough on my previous open station tractor because I could lift the hitch all the way up, and latch or unlatch it from my seat. But with my larger cab, I can no longer do this. It gets a bit old having to hop on and off and bunch to latch and unlatch it. I have an extra pair of hydraulic ports on the tractor. I know they offer hydraulic latching of the loader bucket, so why not on a 3-point quick hitch?

I added a liner actuator to my SSQA last year for less than $100.
I’m sure you could do something similar with the quick hitch.

Yeah, I’m strongly considering modding mine. What is a couple hundred bucks when your tractor is 80k?

Just a friendly note. You do not have to get off the tractor to latch the QH. Leave the levers down and it will still latch and then be locked. By doing this, you have just cut your trips off the tractor for latching in half. ;)

Yeah, I already do this, but it’s not super common that I’m already unlatched to begin with. I have a tiny shed to park the tractor in. So I have to always keep some rear implement attached. Otherwise I won’t have room to store everything. Due to hydraulic droop when parked, I have to leave the quick hitch latched when parked. So first thing most times I drive it, I have to start it and lift the 3-point. Drive to where I’ll drop that implement. Get out and unlatch it. Then get in and drop it. Then drive to the implement I need and relatch it.
