I was dressing my road with my blade and the hydraulic lift quit working. I've replaced the filter screen with a new one. The lift will raise if I give it lots of gas, but not at all with any attachment on it. I've also raised the lift, turned the tractor off, and stood on it as suggested in a previous thread. It stays up so it's not the "o" ring. Any suggestions? I need to brush hog my field before winter. Thanks.

Check the hydraulic fluid level and check the motor oil, if it's overfull you've blown a seal on the pump.
If your model has a lift adjustment knob under the seat rotate it from one extreme to the other.
You replaced the filter screen, is there also a filter and did you change the hydraulic filter too?

Fluid levels are fine. I've turned the knob both ways full, then back to the center where it was originally. Still no lift. I'm not sure where any other hydraulic filters are. The only one that is referred to online is the hydraulic filter suction screen. Do you know if Kubota L245DT has more hydraulic filters? Appreciate your replies.

Nope does not look like it has a filter.
I would open up the relief valve, clean, and check it.
After that your going to need to get a measurement on the pump pressure, just to make sure it hasn't blown an internal seal.

I feel your problem is in your control valve. relief valve would whine, it holds it self up, and will lift if engine is throttled up, dirt, weak spring or leaking spool. But please verify pump is pumping and has pressure, crack a pressure line to see, be careful, just a turn on the banjo bolt should show pressure, I don't think your pump is out.

My knowledge of tractors is zilch. Where is this banjo bolt that I can turn to check the pressure? And assuming the pressure is ok, how do I check the control valve and is the control valve the one located just under my seat? Again, I sure appreciate everyone's help.

I'm wrong on the banjo bolt, B's have them on the pressure lines you have a bolt that runs straight thru the line at the end, L's don't, so there is a plug just under the seat right below the adjustment knob,that should be for external pressure, start there. and where did you change the filter screen? I don't see any?

But when up and tractor off he stands on it and does not drop so ram is okay?
Did this just come out of the blue or was something going on before?

I'll check the plug you mentioned for external pressure. There is no whine, leaks or anything that seems unusual. It did come out of the blue. I had been using the brush hog for awhile and started using the blade. Halfway down the hill, I couldn't get the blade to lift.
I probably should give you a little more background as it might help. The tractor has an after-market power steering unit on it. I had to change the o-rings. The o-rings I bought weren't strong enough and wore out after about 15 hours. I bought some at a hydraulic shop and they've worked fine since (about another 15 hours.) I'm not sure this has anything to do with it, but since I never had a problem with the rear lift before and I changed the o-rings at the power steering pump 15 hours before. Well, maybe there's a connection? I don't know.
I'll repost after I check the external pressure plug.

Hopefully, the picture was uploaded to help. If not, I'll try again.I tried to loosen the bolt in the 7 o'clock position, but can't budge it. The two bolts in the 5 o'clock position have a line running into them. Could this be the one to loosen? Also, what should I expect to happen when I loosen them (it)? What will I see if everything's ok and what will I see if not? Also, do I need to bleed the hydraulic lines like I do the fuel lines? Like I said, my knowledge of tractors is zilch. But it's great learning. Thanks

Don't force the bolts, breaking one of them would be disastrous, If you take another picture of the side with the control valve and relief valve I can point where to pull out the relief valve to check for pump pressure. and if your problem is in the control valve it's in that same area.
Looking at schematics it looks like you might have a feed back lever, and that is also known for causing 3 point problems.

Let me know if this is the correct pic. It was hard getting the camera in there at the right angle with the fender in the way. So when I loosen this what am I looking for to determine pressure? Again, I appreciate everybody's input and time on this.

Is that a manifold tap block in the last picture? if it is, just take the shiny new hose off. But I thought we were okay and it was working again?

first thing you have aftermarket powersteering, is it still working correctly?
if so we can assume you have good pump pressure.
second is there a valve, or knob on the block where your powersteering lines are connected? if you can please post a picture of this block.
