New user, first post. This is a great forum.
I have a just bought a 1999 M4700. The 3 point lift lever has to be raised all the way before the lift will raise. You can lower to the height where you want to be, then raise just a little to hold there. This makes it hard to do any dirt work. Any suggestions as to how to get the lift to move on the lower end of the range?

Thanks,
Kent

It sounds to me that you may be using the levers improperly. As Vic said, you have two levers, a height control lever (or position control) and a draft control. You choose which function you want and use that lever. The other lever should be in the full down position. Position or height control is most commonly used unless you are using a ground engaging implement like a plow or cultivator.

Thanks Vic, I'll take a look at the linkage this weekend.
Eserv, It doesn't make any difference where the draft lever is. The lift will not move until the lift lever is all the way to the top of the range.

Thanks for the advice.

Sorry it took so long to get back, been working a lot of overtime.
Vic, I found the feedback linkage broke on the draft control. I'll get it replaced as soon as I get one. Thanks for all your help.
