Hello, I am having issues on my 2001 L48 TLB. FEL and backhoe have been working fine. Removed backhoe to run an auger thia weekend, no issues until it stopped lifting the three point halfway through the day, no response at all.

FEL still works fine, I topped off hyro fluid, still absolutely no response. I think 3 point runs off pump 1/2 that runs the FEL. If it is working fine but I have zero lift on the 3 point hitch does this mean a lift piston seal failure? Any suggestions greatly appreciated

I can offer no suggestion, but please do post what your eventual fix is.

Is it stuck up, down or in the middle?
Very unlikely to be the Piston seal.
Does that model require you to install a loop hose when you remove the BH?

It won't lift. I can move by hand even with flow valve ofd. I wasn't aware of needing a loop hose, maybe that is it?
Some models do some models don't
If it's got a dedicated diverter valve for BH operation then it probably doesn't need it.
I'll see what I can dig up.

Have you checked the feed back linkage?
that ot being on or mal adjusted will stop the three point operation in it's tracks.

An L35 is not an L48, but my 35 has the hose loop and a diverter valve.
Quoted from L48 TLB WSM page 12-S-10:

IMPORTANT:
Change the directional change lever (1) to the "Three point hitch position", and the directional change lever (2) to the "Without backhoe" position.
If the directional change lever(1) is not at "Three point hitch" position, Three point system does not work.
Do not forget the changing of directional change lever (2), otherwise the hydraulic system may be damaged.
Disconnect the three hydraulic hoses (3) (4) and (5).

No hydraulic hose loop is described as being required!

Yep!!! I changed both levers when first removed backhoe. Was working for a day then quite mid job. I am thinking now the position lever is messed up, wasn't used for 20 years and was super stiff. Going to have a tractor tech come look Thursday and will update on finding!!

My 2006 L48 is my baby, and I am the proud 82 year old daddy.
Bought it 42 months ago with 251 total hours,..... and have added very few (I do have another tractor).

I have loader bucket, EA forks, 16" hoe bucket, 24" hoe bucket, 60" grapple, hydraulic thumb, 3rd function, hyd loader bucket locks, BH bucket Q/A system, and 3 rear remotes.

Am looking to buy a root ripper.
My L48 TLB is all about making daily outdoor life just a bit easier for this "old phart"!

Maybe something came loose in the linkage...post your results when you get them, might help someone else in the future.
