I obtained a BX2230 tractor that was not properly lubricated during its earlier life. When I got it, the 3 point arms would not move unless I stood on them. After raising and lower them for about a half hour, I got them moving better. While doing this, I did not have anything to attach to the 3 point lift.
The 3 point hitch lowering speed control knob is froze and I can't turn it by hand. Is there a trick to getting it to turn such as a lock nut that I am not finding? I don't want to resort to a pipe wrench because I don't want to break anything.
I have also not figured out the lowering limit control. I have looked for it but don't know what I am looking for.
I tried to get the top link to free up but even with using my Mapp gas torch, soaking it in Kroil and using a big pipe wrench, I could not get it to loosen up. I ended up surrendering and buying a new one. I am not usually a quitter but sometimes your time is worth more than beating a piece of iron.
I have been lurking here for a while but joined yesterday. Sorry to come in with a bunch of questions.
