Hello all:

Just got a new B3300SU, only 7 hours on it. I parked it in the garage tonight after clearing trees and roots in the woods with the FEL and noticed that the left lower arm of the 3 point hitch was "dangling". I have not used the hitch for anything yet. The large pin was missing. I'm not sure if I backed into something...certainly I do not recall hitting anything and would think if I hit something hard enough to break that pin I'd have known it. Any way, the hitch is all the way "up" and when I push forward on the lever to lower it, it does nothing. The lever has no resistance when pushing forward on it either, sort of "floppy". Does this sound like a serious problem? Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

Jeff, seven hours and problems like this sounds like a dealer issue. Perhaps it was a build up qaulity problem.

Aside from the back arm hanging down, crawl under the tractor and inspect the linkage of the control lever to see if it's all hooked up.

If everything seems ok from your observation AND the 3ph arms do not have any evadince of striking something (chipped or scuffed paint) I would contact the dealer for warranty work.

Do you think it would be possible to post pictures for us to have a look at what you are describing?

Thanks for the reply. I'll try to get some pics up....tractor is 70 miles away at camp though...so it'll be awhile. In the mean time I guess I'll talk to the dealer.
I'm hoping I can get it fixed on my own so I don't have to travel 140 miles round-trip! I agree with you though, I think maybe it's a linkage/ adjustment issue. I wasn't able to appreciate any significant damage or deformity of the arm. Thanks again.

Jeff,

Sounds good, give it a once over again for something obvious now that you have had a break from it. If you don't find anything the obvious then that 140 mile round trip will be worth it. As long as you still have the warranty coverage resist all temptations to tear it apart.

Good luck and please do keep us updated.
