I am having an issue with my 3 Point Hitch drifting down on my BX1850. I have messed with the speed control knob, and even when closed it still drifts down (without pressing the down lever of course). Was moving some trailers in the yard, and it drifts down pretty quickly. I fear that it might be seals inside the unit, but am starting here to see what you guys recommend for testing / troubleshooting before I jump the gun.

Piston seal is the most likely, but it could be a valve issue too.
The only way to know is get into it and inspect both.

Has anyone here replaced the piston seals on their BX? I try to do all my own maintenance, and a walkthrough or YouTube video usually helps me know what I’m getting into before I start diving in. I will check Messicks to see if I can find the parts diagram.

Does the rear body panel have to come off, as well as the gas tank to gain access?
ROPS, Seat, Floor, fuel tank, then Cylinder cover
Get the WSM, it will have all the steps with pictures required to walk you through it.
Sorry there is not a free or cheap copy of that WSM out there.
If you have a dealer close to you, try walking in there with a Blank USB KEY (aka thumb drive) and see if they will give / sell you a copy of the WSM.

I could have sworn I had the WSM, will have to search all my computers.

On another note, anyone have an idea what the dealer would charge to replace the rear piston seals?
