Just put 30 hours on new M4-71, parked it for lunch, now the tractor wont start. The battery has 12.8 v, the oil is good, when you turn the key to on or start you can hear the fuel pump running but to power to the starter. Dead. checked all the fuses, all good. The transmission and shift lever are in "N" and the park brake is on. I'm really baffled. Help.

It sounds like one of the safeties is still unhappy. Is the PTO disengaged? Did you depress the clutch? Were you sitting in the seat?

MY new M4-71 Deluxe still wont start. I was told moving it a foot or two while in gear might reset the start program, no joy there either. I disconnected the negative on the battery IAW the manual to check all the under hood fuses, again after hooking up the battery, no joy. The tractor went through a regen at 26 hours without any issues as I was bushhogging at the time. There are no codes on the master screen, does the dealer have a device they can plug in to determine the problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your transmission doesn't have a "Park" position? That's where I have to have my shift lever for the starter circuit to activate - and the shuttle lever has to be in Neutral.

The parking brake is on the right hand side of the console. Once in place a "P" appears on the front monitor screen. The proper procedure is to place parking brake in the "on" position, shift lever in "N" and the transmission shifter in the "N" position. Both doors are closed, seat belt on and left foot on the clutch, and right foot on the brakes. All the icons light up and the analog gauges swing when the key is in the start position. I can hear the fuel pump, but unit will not start.
