2022 L4060 HST-LE adding cruise

Hi, I bought this new-old stock tractor last in fall 2023, just started putting hours on it, and discovering operating funtions. I want to add cruise for mowing and steady-state operations. After checking the catalog , my dealer checked with a Kubota “tech”, who told him the ECU must be replaced in addition to purchasing switch, TD350-55210.

all the videos show the 5 minute switch addition and life is good. Anybody know why factory recommends an upgraded ECU? Will it work but be less integrated with brake usage/deactivaion or some other feature?

This guy posted this in 2021 on an open cab L4060LE. He figures out auto throttle and cruise don’t play well with each other. I doubt this guy has that new ecu in 2021. I’d install it and see for myself but then again it’s your money to spend. Maybe that new ecu forces the auto throttle and cruise control to work together…this part is a SWAG on my part.

Thanks a bunch. I suspected there would be some compromise, but still hope to get the cruise advantage for mowing as Humble Acres dude is showing. Awaiting for my part to show…
