My neighbor, an elderly widow, is selling her husband's BX2370.
The tractor has 1192 hours on it. It has an end loader, RCK 60 MMM {new Kubota blades), wheel weighs, brush guard and a Cat 1 draw bar. As far as maintenance ... it was lubricated every 10 hours of operation, engine oil/filter was changed at least twice a year. The HST oil/ filters was changed and the strainers cleaned at least every two years using Super UDT around the beginning of May. It is in close to pristine condition.
Can you all suggest what she should be asking for it? It's located in northern Maryland if that makes a difference.
PS.... I know this first hand as I helped him to the maintenance...

Butch there are numbers all over the place, but not like a car or PU,, so really it is worth what ever the market will bear,, maybe do a quick QL or the IWANA for your area. I hope she gets top dollar for it

I was thinking 11k-12k myself - great machine, unless she is hurting for money - I would not take less than 11K.

I would go high at first if she isn’t in a hurry for cash. Then drop it down $250 every couple of weeks until you get a hit. Advertise everywhere you can. Bet it goes fast.

Guys.... She ended up doing pretty well. She did not like the idea of selling the tractor herself. She just did not want to deal with it and it was worth a little money left on the table for her peace of mind.

I worked on her behalf with a very well known and respected Kubota dealer in our area to trade it in on a new Z422... straight swap. She got the zeroturn.
I let her know she left at least a Grand on the table as the 422 clocked in just under $10k... she was fine with that.

As a side note.... a nice air ride seat Kubota zeroturn was her basic objective. The first time she laid eyes on it was when we took the 2370 up for the exchange. It was hotter than hell the morning we picked it up so she told the sales person our neighbor will teach her to operate it (he has a z421). When we got it home backed off the trailer under a large shade tree, she sat on a (any) zeroturn for the first time. After about 10 minutes at the controls..... she tooled around in the open lawn and drove it up the driveway and turned into her garage like a champ. The only issue that I observed was.... she does not have enough strength in the legs to raise and lock the deck in the up position.

Butch - could you fabricate a "longer" pedal ? So she could use the mechanical advantage of a lever ?

She would have to make the movement longer - but it would be easier on her to do so. Her foot would be at a higher level, and she might have to move on her seat to push it. But that should help her get the deck up.

Butch, it's nice to see someone show concern for a person in that predicament, and helping her with the transaction. That's a sign of a man with principals and character!

Well guys here's the deal.... My wife and I got married when we were 18 yo. She was 5'2" when we got hitched. My thoughts were at that time at 18 she had at least one maybe two growth spurts left in her. She did ... just not vertically  ....

Girls at 18 can be pretty skinny. Rounding out can be a bonus.....
