Hey guys you might have seen my other post but here it is guys. I'm getting l3200 a left over 13 model??? Is the model less emmisions then the 14 models with all that extra stuff on them??? Please help I see a lot of talk online but no 1 actrully has answered me.... Thanks

The way I understand it the 2014 is really a 2013 . Not real sure there is really a 2014 . My L3800 that I got Saturday I'm not sure if it was a 2013 or 14 . It has has a tag that says manufactured 2013 . But are tractors like trucks late in the year trucks are the next years .
But any L3400 or L3800 with be the non emissions motor as the emissions ones have a new name . The way I understand it .

All 3800s and 3200s are PRE 2014 -- no exception. The wording of the law is complicated to say the least (which law in recent times isn't?). They cannot call something a 2014 model unless it's a T4, as such it would be L3301 or L3901 as Kubota's T4 are called. Without knowing Kubota's actual production cycling, and assuming it goes with the actual calendar year, they couldn't make (install the crank in) the T3 engines after the last minute of 30-Jan-2014; and that's only if they called them 2013 models.
Now as to the actual production date of the unit you buy, which really doesn't matter nor is it easily found out, it's safe to assume that it was built between 2012 and Jan of 2014. I doubt you will find any differences in any of the 3200 and 3800 models produced between 2012 and 2014 as Kubota knew the absolute end of production date for the machines and most likely would not spend money retooling for such a short production run.

Mine does have a manufacturing date of 2013 on the tag . What month I have no clue figure late in the year . I know it was put together not to long ago like in the last few weeks by the dealer . How long it had been in the crate not sure . Figure not long .

AMAZING!!!! so after everyones input i have decided on a l3800dt series cause the fact its a live PTO... so i am guessing push the clutch in a little and can change the gears but the pto will stay at speed?????

But mines a HST . But that's the need I wanted in mine . My other two tractors are geared .
Be sure to read about the lift so your aware of the jerky action . Mines very little jerky . Heck I don't even notice it now after using it .

Yes, that's the way the clutch works on a L3800DT. Called a 2 stage clutch sometimes. I Really Really like mine!!!!
Correct, the PTO is the 'lower' portion of the clutch travel towards bottoming out, the drive portion is the upper travel of the clutch. You can feel the upper portion pressure vary slightly as you engage/disengage the travel portion of it. The gear 3800 puts about 50% more power to the wheels than the HST 3200. That translates to being able to pull heavier loads at a faster speed.
