2012 BX 25 Looking for the upper ROPS bar.

Hi,

I purchased a used BX 25 that is in really nice shape, the Upper ROPS bar is missing and it appears kubota doesn't sell or at least list it in their parts diagram, Any ideas on where to look?

call a dealer, ask for parts, and ask....
my 'gut' says that since this is a 'safety item', they may only sell the complete ROPS ? perhaps they won't sell any of it as 'parts' ??
I took mine off my BX23S 5 years ago and have never regretted it.

I was hoping to find a used one from someone that took it off like yourself, I kinda just want it for resale or if My kids are running it. I don't use this machine on any kinda inclines.

when I replaced the upper ROPS for my roof and light bar, I made it as strong as the original ROPS, jusr several inches shorter , so I can get into the garage. also removed the seatbelt as manual say do NOT use without ROPS....
My upper ROPS is collecting dust int he back of the garage along with the 3PH kit

If it was originally sold having a ROP, it's odd that it doesn't have one now. Must have been a good price when you bought it. Now the deal sneaks up on you

Not odd, once you've hit the garage door header once too often ! THAT is why I removed mine, as it was a PITA to lower/raise it several times a day...... It was cheaper and quicker than raising the garage up 9".
Maybe contact the seller and see if the top section is 'somewhere' on his property ?

I did he said his Uncle can't find it guess they took it off years ago. Yes I got a very good deal and a fairly clean tractor with a Backhoe and 3 Pt hitch.

That’s why mine is resting on the pins (about 55 degrees). Still have some protection. can you post a picture of your new one? I would like to do something like that. I would be happy to buy the upper part and have it shaved down.

I can't have the top half 'resting' as I'd not be able to use the backhoe, and boy, 6 or 7 of my neighbours would be 'upset' !!!
Will take pictures today when (if ? ) Mr. Sun decides to WAKE UP .........

I acturally thought about reversing the ROPS so it leaned forward. Still might do it so I can make some kind of roof.

That sounds like something someone who works for an insurance company would think of.

Just looked at it closer. Won't reverse it as the lights are connected to the ROPS.

A local steel fabrication shop should be able to make one for you.
