I finally became orange and picked up a 2012 b3000hsdcc tractor. Machine is like it just came off the showroom floor, but,,,other than the loader valve, it has never had a loader or any other attachments mounted in it's short life. So I'm hunting for a loader and backhoe for starters and I'm wondering what kind of discount is negotiable when buying these implements separate from a package. I saw a dealers book with pricing (they didn't cover it well) and I'm being told the price they are giving me is fantastic but when in fact the price for the la403 loader was what was listed in the book. Any help would be appreciated.

Its worth shopping around. Loaders and bh's vary in price and most dealers don't give a discount at all. You might be able to shop around and find a volume dealer like Parc's in WV which carries Kubota as well as Amsung (german design made in China) loaders.

I've decided to go with the skid steer q/a, but I'm undecided about getting the 54" or 60" bucket. The tractor is mainly for my wife to do her h/d gardening stuff, so I don't know if the 54 gives you that much more manuverbility over the 60" or handles any better??

I have never regretted getting a larger bucket. I have a spare bent up old bucket off an M series kubota I have modified to fit my B9200 when I need to move snow and other light stuff....but I go back to my 60" when I need to clamp on the forks or move stone and other heavy things. The weight between the 54 and 60 is nominal but the extra volume will be great for moving around gardening debris and such. Go with the 60" IMO.

Well, looks like I can get a fel (60"0 bucket) and a bh for 13k, installed. Does this sound about right? The unit already has the fel loader valve. I am in Canada, so the $$ exchange is a factor so they say.

On a side note, I put an old 3pt snow blade on her and did she perform!!!!
Cab was so warm on low, I had to open the back window, lol. Maybe my wife won't get to use it, lol.

Yes, I saw this too, but the bh77 doesn't include the frame mount kit. That's another 1k here, and then the install on top for both. Twice I tried calling them and no one would pick up the phone. Having said that, we did find their sales team very helpful when we first started looking for a tractor a year ago.

I ended up with the bh77, 12" bucket w/ mech. thumb, bh77 frame mount (4 point)and the la403 fel, skid steer q/a, 60" mat.bucket, all installed, tractor picked up and brought back (1 and 15 drive time), 13k. This from the local dealer to me whom called me via a third party when I was looking into a woods bh. Funny thing the salesman was from a dif. division, not the Kubota side (who hung up on me, when I wasn't a committed sale)

After talking to a number of dealers, they were all within $600.00 one way or another, I probably could have saved more with some stronger haggling, but we all have to eat too. I can't wait to see my wife digging out the stumps, moving the dirt around etc. while I hit the trails, lol...................

Merrry Christmas to all!!

Its great to have a wife not afraid of your tractor... or her tractor. :)

My wife hasn't run mine in months but, I needed to hoist my rototiller implement into an out of the way place. She hopped on and got the 800 lb load right where I needed it and I guided her down to a perfect position. She set 400lb manhole collars on top of 100 lb concrete spacers she'd set before. Then she picked up and moved the nearly 200 lb manhole covers for me.

On my old tractor (manual Ford from the 70's) she was catching all the bucket loads. Not safe. I'd rather her be happy and helping in the tractor.

During our remodel, we tore out over 20,000 lb of tile from the old house we bought. Getting that massive amount of material from the floor and into an tall dumpster was nearly impossible without the tractor. Once she got comfortable running the tractor, she'd hop on the machine and dump a bucket load with a smile on her face. And I had to fool this woman into test driving a 4Runner. She swore she couldn't drive a "truck." (We are on our second 4Runner, both "hers.")

Keep her in low range and 1/4 power and she can't get into too much trouble at first!

Have fun and good luck!
