2008 RTV 900 wont start

I need a little assistance. My rtv900 wont start unless I manually pull the linkage attached to the fuel cutoff solenoid because the fuel linkage wont reset when you press the accelerator. Can anyone tell me what causes the linkage to reset when the accelerator is pressed? is the solenoid supposed to both open and close the linkage or does it just shut the rtv off. Is everyone confused now?

Timer relay, but more than likely your shut off solenoid is sticking. You can try to lube it up by putting a hole in the bottom of the boot and spraying some penetrating oil in there, but more than likely, you need a new shut off solenoid
