I have a 2005 BX23D tractor that developed HST wine and chatter. At first it was just in high gear under a load. Now it is does it while in low gear and will barely move. I did a fluid and filter change as well as cleaned the screen in the transmission. There was very little to no metal shavings in the screen. Has anyone else run into this problem? I am looking for some direction before I tear the tractor down and pull the transmission. I am thinking possibly a relief valve issue?

I think you have some simple tasks to do before you go tearing the transmission out.

First get the 2006 Workshop Manual HERE.

Check the pressures of the Charge Relief Valve and High Relief Valve according to page 2-S11.
Let us know what you find out.

What fluid (exactly) did you put in it?

One thing that can happen is that the input shaft can strip the splines and cause issues like your having.
Watch the fan on the input of the HST while trying to move the tractor, if it slows or stops while trying to move then you have your answer.

On a very odd occasion the splines on the front of the HST can get stripped, and that's harder to diagnose.
Start the tractor, start the PTO, try and move the tractor, if the PTO slows down, or stops spinning it's the HST or HUB splines.
