Wanted to start by saying thanks to those who have posted. The information on this site has been a wealth of knowledge.
I'm looking at an 02 L4310 GST. It is a 4x4 with L682 loader, and 575 hours. It is missing the right adjustable arm for the 3'point hitch, has 2 small hydraulic leaks in the loader cylinders, and truck mudder tires on the front. It is a bit rusty, but came from the gulf coast. The bucket has a slight bow in the bottom front lip, which I think can be straightened. It has a sunshade, and the motor starts right up and runs strong. The loader would not go into float mode, but it could have been operator error. Also when in gear with throttle engaged th brakes would not hold the tractor, the brakes did hold when the clutch was depressed. Not certain if this is normal. The rear tires are turf tires.
He is asking $12,000 and I believe I can get it for $11,000.
I have 25 acres of flat land and woods. I need to do general work with the tractor and would like to run a 6 ft rotary cutter. I also like to get into the woods and clean up the trails. So I'll be hitting small trees and limbs. Also need to do some loader work and driveway grading.
I've never purchased a tractor so I am not sure if this is a good deal or not. Or if this tractor will meet my needs. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks again.
