I have a 2001 Kubota B7500D that has 300 hours with the 1.0L diesel. When shifting out of neutral (1,2,3,R) all of the gears do it. It grinds very bad. Like if you dont jam it into gear you cant even get it into gear. It wouldnt start one day and realized the clutch saftey switch wasnt getting pushed in so i thought maybe the fix would be to just adjust it per the book. This fixed my safety switch problem and helped the grinding a little bit but still does. Once its in gear everything works like it should. Does anyone have any input on where i can start to figure out what the problem is? Also, this is a new unit to me. Ive ran it about 5 times since ive owned it for a total of about an hour.

Did you adjust the clutch pedal linkage per the WSM (aka the service manual)?

One thing that can happen if you have very little use on the tractor is the flywheel and the pressure plate can get rust on the surfaces that will make the clutch disk stick.
Take it out, put it in low range, put the throttle on high, and slip the clutch a few times and see what it does for you.

Yes i did adjust it to what the book says. I havent ran it at all and it couldve potentially been sitting ror along time i dont know the history on it. I will try that thanks for the idea.

Not that it would resolve the problem but you can put it in gear before starting the engine to avoid the grinding of the gears.

On my tractor you have to wait a few seconds in neutral to lessen any grinding into a new gear. It still grinds a little bit due to having no synchronizing rings on the gears.

The clutch plate may be worn out but that shouldn’t be the problem due to low hours, although the use of the FEL and feathering the clutch (excessively) can burn up a clutch plate more quickly than normal usage. The replacement of the clutch requires the tractor to be split front from rear to replace the clutch plate (and other components).

Is there an adjustable stop bolt that is preventing the clutch pedal from depressing enough?
The same thing was happening to me on my older B6200D and the stop bolt wound itself out due to vibration and needed winding back in and nipping up with the locking nut.

Wow awesome suggestion! I did adjust it a little when i made sure i had enough free play but apparently did not mess too much with the stop bolt. This fixed most of the grinding. Theres still a very slight grind but if i go real gentle theres none.
Thanks a bunch fellas. New to the forum, looks like a good one.
